Which tester should I choose for 8K/4K IP and Coaxial cameras?
Our flagship IPC-9800 and IPC-7600 series support up to 8K 32MP IP camera testing. For Coaxial HD (TVI/CVI/AHD), please ensure the model number includes these protocols. Note that the HD-3000 series is budget-friendly but limited to Coaxial testing without IP support.
Does the tester support HDMI Input and HDMI Output?
Yes, but it depends on the model.
- HDMI Output: Allows you to project the tester screen onto a larger monitor.
- HDMI Input: Allows the tester to act as a display monitor for DVRs/NVRs or computers.
Technical Functionality
Can the tester provide power to my cameras during installation?
Absolutely. Our CCTV testers are designed for field use. They provide PoE power output (48V) and DC 12V/3A power output. This allows you to power up a camera directly from the tester to check the image before the main power infrastructure is installed.
What is the difference between RJ45 TDR and Hardware TDR (T/M models)?
RJ45 TDR (Software-based) measures network cable length and identifies pairs with basic accuracy.
Hardware TDR (found in models with a "T" or "M") uses a dedicated chip to precisely locate breakpoints in BNC, Power, and Telephone cables up to 1200m. If your work involves troubleshooting underground or wall-embedded cables, Hardware TDR is highly recommended.
Can I take screenshots or record video for my installation report?
Yes. You can capture high-resolution screenshots and record video clips directly to the internal storage or SD card. These files can be exported via USB or Wi-Fi, making it easy to provide professional proof of installation to your clients.

Do you ship to remote areas in the US and Canada?
We ship to most locations in the USA and Canada. However, extremely remote areas (e.g., Alaska, Hawaii, or Northern Territories) may incur additional shipping surcharges or longer transit times. If your address is in a remote region, please contact [email protected] for a custom quote.
How do I perform a system update or recover deleted apps?
Our units feature Hassle-Free Online Updates. No registration is required. Simply connect to Wi-Fi and click "Online Update." If you accidentally delete a system app, you can reinstall it through the same update menu or by performing a "Factory Reset" (ensure your data is backed up first).
What is the warranty period for SteedVision products?
All SteedVision professional tools (CCTV Testers, Wire Trackers, Cable Testers) come with a 12-month limited warranty covering hardware defects. We also provide lifetime technical email support to help you solve on-site challenges.
